Hot Oil System

Heat Transfer Fluids (Thermal Liquids, Hot Oils) precisely control temperatures in hundreds of different applications in the processing industries. Due to the variety of applications, types of heating, differing process cycles, and many other variables, the intricacies of these heating and cooling systems can create technical challenges as the systems age, or with design additions and changes.

The simple principle in hot oil system is to heat up special thermal fluid (non-flammable oil) by circulating the fluid through heaters (with burners, electrical elements or flue gas recuperators) - and thereafter direct the fluid out to one or several consumers i.e. heat exchanger, air heaters, reactors, rollers etc. The main advantage of a hot oil system is that the systems run at a very low pressure, typically just the pressure required to pump the liquid around the system. When designed correctly hot oil systems reliably and efficiently produce high temperature heat. They are simple to maintain with only the burner and pump needing regular maintenance. Our experience in hot oil system design and crucial component selection ensures low maintenance.  Use of high temperature air-cooled centrifugal pumps with a mechanical seal and bellows-sealed isolation and control valves ensure this. Other benefits of hot oil systems include no danger of damage due to freezing when the plant is shut down, no corrosion, accurate temperature control and high efficiency.

Dear Sir,

Some months ago I purchased a sump heater from you. I can tell you its fantastic. I live in Western Australia in the wheat belt where in winter the temp drops only to -3 but the oil in my engine is nice & warm, The engine heats to op temp so much faster now saving me lots of $$$$ on petrol i.e. running a rich mixture to op temp. The EFI unit only puts in the fuel required so the faster warm-up the more fuel I save. Great product & thanks a lot...
